They approached B&B to help them create a stand-out brand identity that positioned them as market leaders in STEM recruitment. For this, they needed a complete brand strategy, from establishing who they are and what they stand for to how they should articulate this, both in their messaging and in their visual identity. They also required a name that would sit comfortably alongside their vision.
Bayfields Opticians & Audiologists are a group of national practices with a local feel. They provide a truly personal touch with thorough examinations to really get to know their clients. It’s this attention to detail and exceptional level of care that sets them apart.
Bayfields briefed B&B to create a name, brand and packaging for their own brand contact lenses. The identity and packaging needed to reflect the premium cues delivered through the rest of the business, and suggest ‘clinical excellence from a leading opticians.’
We explored a variety of territories when developing the Brilliance name, from comfort and freedom to limitless living. We finally arrived at ‘light and vision’ as our naming territory, with our lenses ‘opening us up to the bright and beautiful world around us.’ Brilliance was the name chosen from a raft of proposals within this area.
The logo introduces a subtle ‘eye’ to the letter ‘c’, giving the brand a graphic asset we can use across any future communications, as well as the packaging.We brought the brand name in line with the main brand by borrowing the ‘B’ of Bayfields for our wordmark.The ‘spectrum wash’ background directly references the richness and clarity of perfect vision.
